Ahehee' Shidine'e Homecare was born out of a profound journey, fueled by love and the desire to honor the memory of our founder's mother, Darlene Tullie. When faced with the challenging reality of a cancer diagnosis and the brief 7-week window to prepare for end-of-life care, our family was thrust into the unknown. In those critical moments, the meaning of quality homecare took on a deeply personal significance.
Driven by a commitment to ensuring our mother's comfort and surrounded by the uncertainties of the healthcare system, our family rallied together. We took shifts, offered companionship, and became an unwavering support system so that Darlene was never alone, especially during her time in the hospital.
Ahehee' Shidine'e Homecare emerged from this heartfelt experience, dedicated to extending the same level of compassionate and attentive care that we provided for our beloved matriarch. Our mission is rooted in the belief that every individual deserves the comfort and dignity of quality care, just as our mother did in her final days. In her honor, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
At Ahehee' Shidine'e Homecare LLC, we are deeply honored to serve as caretakers, providing exceptional non-medical homecare services with genuine gratitude. We recognize the trust placed in us by individuals and families across Arizona, including the Navajo Nation,
Colorado River Indian Tribes, Gila River Indian Community, Hopi Tribe,
Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and statewide. With unwavering commitment, our compassionate caregivers strive to make a positive impact in the lives of those we have the privilege to care for.
We will be expanding to New Mexico in 2024.
We offer comprehensive non-medical attendant homecare services to support individuals with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Our caregivers, trained in providing attentive and personalized care, assist with tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. We approach every aspect of care with cultural sensitivity, honoring the individual's preferences and cultural practices.
Training is provided at no cost to our caregiving staff, this includes First Aid/CPR and the Direct Care Worker Fundamentals Level I and Level II required certifications.
We are not just a homecare provider; we are an integral part of our Indian Reservation community. As a Navajo woman-owned company, our commitment to community connection runs deep. We actively engage with local organizations, cultural leaders, and community members, strengthening our ability to deliver culturally sensitive care. Our shared identity allows us to forge authentic relationships and provide care that truly honors our community.
"I want to continue to honor my mother. At the end of her battle with cancer, my siblings and I learned how to provide care. Our mother refused to be placed in a facility and wanted to be home surrounded by her loved ones. With the help of Hospice of the Valley, we were able to honor our mother's end of life care plan. Since her passing, I decided the best way to continue to honor my mother was to help other families that are facing similar circumstances. I started Ahehee' Shidine'e Homecare to continue this work in a manner of being grateful. Ahehee' Shidine'e means 'thank you my people' in Navajo. We all have elders to take care of and we can only do this work if we continue to take care of each other in this manner of respect. Each of our full time employees are eligible for paid time off, vision, dental and $50,000 life insurance."
